Pilot terms
Plain-language conditions for using the APP’nSAVE private beta.
APP’nSAVE is a test product intended to help plan meals and compare live retailer catalogue options. It is not a retailer checkout, inventory guarantee, food-safety service, medical service or official PAK’nSAVE product.
1. Private beta status
The pilot is experimental. Features, product matching, retailer coverage and availability may change during testing. Access may be interrupted or withdrawn while issues are fixed.
2. Retailer independence
APP’nSAVE is an independent MadLabz concept prototype and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Foodstuffs or PAK’nSAVE unless a future written pilot arrangement states otherwise.
3. Prices, promotions and availability
Product information is based on live catalogue data returned for the selected store at the time APP’nSAVE checks it. Prices, promotions, purchase limits and availability can change, and online catalogue information may differ from the shelf.
Labels such as Lowest price or Best unit price apply only to the relevant products APP’nSAVE validated from the catalogue results it received. They are not a guarantee that every product in the physical store has been compared.
Always confirm the current shelf/checkout price and any promotion conditions before buying.
4. Recipes, dietary information and allergens
Recipes, substitutions and dietary evidence are planning aids. Retailer/supplier information can be incomplete or change without notice. For allergies, intolerances, medical diets or other strict requirements, check the physical product label and current retailer/manufacturer information before purchase or consumption.
5. Household Food and dates
Household Food is a lightweight planning memory, not an exact stock-control or food-safety system. Quantities can be estimates. Any best-before/use-by date you enter is treated as a reminder only. Follow the physical pack’s storage and food-safety instructions.
6. Your decisions
You remain responsible for deciding what to buy, cook and consume. Review product identity, quantity, price and suitability before acting on a recommendation.
7. Appropriate pilot use
Use the private beta for ordinary evaluation and shopping/meal-planning purposes. Do not deliberately overload, scrape, probe, reverse engineer or interfere with the pilot, retailer services or other connected systems.
8. Feedback
You may report wrong products, prices, missing products and recipe matches. MadLabz may use that feedback and the attached pilot context to diagnose issues and improve APP’nSAVE.
9. Service limitations
The pilot is provided on a beta basis and may contain errors. To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, MadLabz does not promise uninterrupted availability or that every catalogue result, recipe, price or calculation will be complete or error-free.
Nothing in these pilot terms excludes rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded.

The APP’nSAVE Privacy Notice explains what is stored on your device, what pseudonymous pilot analytics/feedback are sent to the service, and the pilot retention approach.
